Rebecca Last is a visual artist who works from her Toronto studio. Painting since the mid 1980's she has developed a distinct approach to the historical and geographical based themes she works on.

Last has a Masters Degree in Art History from University of Toronto, specializing in the art & architectural history of the Modern and Renaissance periods and an Honors Bachelor of Fine Arts from York University, undergraduate study and Graduate research in Tuscany and was sent by the Ministry of Culture to mainland China as Artist in Residence at Nanking Normal University. She has taught studio and academic courses at Sheridan College School of Art and Design in Brampton and Oakville since the mid 1980s. Every year Rebecca Last takes a small group to Florence, Italy to explore the Italian Renaissance and with an optional second week to paint in Tuscany.

Last's work has been featured in publications including Southern Living, USA, The Globe & Mail, The Toronto Star, Canadian House and Home, Toronto Life, Style at Home Magazine and radio and television.
